I am that girl behind the camera. My name is Alisha, and I am glad you are here hanging out with me! I created this blog to give you a behind-the-scenes look into my crazy life as a photographer, chatty and over-emotional girl.
I am absolutely in love with music! There are few things in life that are so pure, and trust me, I have a song for everything. Listening to certain songs, for me, is like reading my own journal, or opening up Memory Lane.
I’m SUPER crafty. Give me mod podge, a sewing machine, and even some scrap fabric, and I’ll come up with something to make. I feel more accomplished making/building something rather than running to the mall and buying something everyone else already has in their home. There’s just something about putting in the work, seeing the end result, and knowing that I made that! I typically have at least four projects going at once. It’s good for the soul.
I also LOVE to write. I think since I talk WAY too much, it’s good to give those around me a break sometimes, and just write.
I fell in love with photography because I loved capturing memories of concerts I went to, or outings with friends. So, I decided to move from my small town to the big city. I followed my dream of graduating from The Art Institute of Atlanta, and was hired by a local commercial photographer. That job taught me SO much, and allowed me to travel to places I would have probably never went to otherwise. It’s nice to write something in your journal, and then, years later actually see it come to life. Watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean was certainly on that list. Now, it’s a captured memory that I will never forget.
